The fight is on!

We Love You, Matthew!
My sweet friend Kat, claims that Matthew McConaughey is her boyfriend but I have already announced that he was mine. I will even forgive the fact that he and the gorgeous Camila Alves are expecting his baby. I fell in love with him even more when I read what he wrote about the entire situation on his official website: Matthew McConaughey: JKLivin. Click on MMJournal and scroll down to January 15th. Then check out the complete website!!

My love for MM came after watching A Time To Kill. Those breathtaking good looks and that sweet southern drawl....I was done for. I can watch this movie a hundred times and not tire of it. Needless to say, it is a very good movie!
Check out his closing argument from A Time to Kill courtesy of AmericanRhetoric.com:

Now this wasn't his first movie. He has played the serious actor to the romantic comedies we love him in so much.

Now we all know that I have now seen Fool's Gold 2 times now.
And my friend, Rebecca asked for a review. According to IMDB, the plot synopsis is this: "A new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure rekindles a married couple's sense of adventure -- and their estranged romance." Background is Tess leaves Chicago for Florida for SPRING BREAK (we all know the stories) and meets Finn. Basically because of great sex, she marries him and they spend the next 8 years as treasure hunters until she decides she has had enough of his shenanigans and divorces him. As luck would have it, a broke and newly divorced Finn and the newly divorced Tess end up on the boat of a very wealthy man and the treasure hunt and fun soon begins. It is definitely a rom-com. And you do watch MM mostly in a swim suit the entire movie, with the exception of his brief nakedness and the glimpse of the world's most perfect butt. It is a chick flick if you go with your girlfriends, and it's date night if you go with your honey. My DH really enjoyed it.

Now prior to this, the rom-com I really enjoyed most was Failure to Launch.

It had 2 of my favorite things....MM and boats! And you just have to love his drawl.

Now recently, I finally saw We Are Marshall. Now this is a more serious movie and I was interested in it for more than just MM. I attended East Carolina University right out of high school and that is the school that Marshall had just played before the fateful plane crash. I also have several friends that either grew up in Huntington WV or attended/graduated from Marshall University. This is not your typical MM but he plays his role fabulously and for those that are college football fans, you see a different side to the legendary Bobby Bowden (of FSU fame). Whether or not you are a college football fan, this is a movie of wants, dreams, determination, and goodwill. A great movie and I highly suggest watching it. It will warm your heart. So for now, Matthew and I will say goodbye, and I will see you tomorrow!

But I'll forgive you, since you granted my request for a movie review. But just this once....

Goodness it seems everyone thinks Matthew is their boyfriend. LOL I can see why, the guy is way too good looking. I always thought that he and Sandra Bullock looked good together though. Thanks for the movie review, I do love going to the movies.

He sure is a cutie. I enjoy his movies and he is nice eye candy. Did you see his interview with Oprah a couple years back? Love his mom! But I am with her, a little disappointed he isn't getting married...not that I cast any stones in his direction, but I would respect him more if he did!
