Monday Monday Monday

Well today is starting out like a dreaded Monday madness day. I don't feel good and I know I have a very long day ahead of me. I must get off this computer and get my rear end in gear. I have to leave for a dr's appt in 30 minutes, straight from there to pick up DD from school @3 to hunt down costumes (thank goodness for Goodwill and Walmart at times like this) for the upcoming Jazz benefit show she is dancing in this weekend. It is all to raise money for Duke Children's Hospital. Practices have been running 6 days a week...her having Wed off. But this week it is every night starting at 4:30 and going UNTIL ?????? So, like I said....a long day ahead. I have several magazines and Mary Kay Andrews new book Deep Dish that will hopefully keep me pre-occupied during practice tonight. But sum this all up....I think I have a bit of attitude today and I don't want to share it with anyone. So I am passing on this little bit on Attitude and maybe it will help me....and help some of you if you get a bad attitude.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"

So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."

So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head..

"YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything.

Remember:

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.......

Leave the rest to God

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.

I hope your Monday brightened up for you! Happy Tuesday!

I'm about halfway through Deep Dish. Its very different from her other books, in my opinion, but I'm enjoying it.

I hate to admit it, but it was a terrible day all the way around and all the way up to bed time. The one good out of it, we found a pair of jeans at Walmart that work perfectly for one of her dance outfits AND they look great AND she liked them enough that she plans on wearing them (decided not to cut them off for jean shorts but rolled them up instead...for a country dance number).

Rebecca...I had planned to start on Deep Dish immediately but have decided to wait until next Wednesday when daddy has his surgery. Thought it would be a great mind distractor (sp??).

Thanks for your well wishes, and so far today is a much better day!
