Tuesday Tidbits

When my DD was younger, she participated in the wonderful program of National League of Junior Cotillions. Well this year, she was fortunate enough to serve as an assistant. This past Sunday was the "Spring Ball" which ends the season and allows the children to showcase all the skills and dancing they have learned during the season. I thought I would share a few pictures of DD from the ball...

DD and new friend, an assistant @ the ball
DD and another new friend, also an assistant @ the ball
DD and Mrs. Scully, the director

DD all dressed and ready
DD's new hairstyle (which I amazingly did!)
DD and her proud papa
DD1 and DD2
DD and proud nana

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER by Maya Angelou

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin'' I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
