Now that Christmas is Over...

I thought I would share our 2008 Christmas card with you. Though our family has only been a family for 4 years and 4 months now, this is our from our first family portrait session and this is my favorite picture of the family from the entire sitting. Thus this is our first picture Christmas Card.

I wish our could share a picture of our Christmas tree with you but unfortunately that was taken on the old film camera that the roll has to be finished before developing. Our house was sorely missing its lovely decorations. We put the tree up (artificial-due to allergies of DH & DD1, pre-lit) on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I decided to go with a bow this year with cascading streamers tucked into the tree and I added a sparkly little glass garland that dips and rises as it goes around the tree. And then the wreck happened. So finally on Monday before Christmas, my mother came over and helped me hang all of my beloved, handmade ornaments. (I inherited them from her mother and they are THE ONLY ornaments to grace my living room tree. I also added those gold curly willow type branches and it is my favorite tree of all time. To me it looks like a decorator's tree. I am so proud. And of course DD1 did put up our Nativity scene that first very first day I started the tree. Next year, hopefully I will not be so extremely ill followed by a wreck that I CAN decorate my house more fittingly. However, we did have a wonderful Christmas.
