To calm you tomorrow........

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY...As excited as most people are about tomorrow, I really am getting tired of it all. THAT IS ALL THAT IS ON TV!! Yes, HISTORY is being made. I get it. (I personally think anytime a president takes the oath of office, history is being made.) But almost 100% of our news is about tomorrow. Our news is going to be wild tomorrow...not only is it inauguration day, history being made, etc...but we are in for our first big snow of the season. We are expecting anywhere between 2-6 inches (including parts of our coast) and this is the south...not the deep south mind you, but the south all the same. I hate snow...I really do. After tomorrows, I don't need it anymore till next year. Actually, I am allergic to snow. If I spend too much time out in it, my lips swell and I break out in a horrible rash. All I can say is except for the inauguration itself, I will be watching DVD's and hopefully something good on cable.

Now, I know for a fact, that many of you are not ready for tomorrow. Many have not yet accepted the fact, that tomorrow, Barack Obama will be our new president. So I am passing on the secret to calmness my dear friend shared with me:

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES
By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace and calmness. Dr Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.

Have a wonderfully calm day!

I agree with you 100% about history being made each time a president is sworn into office!

I, too, totally agree about history being made with EVERY president! I'm ready for this to be over...
