Look what I found in email...

You have to read this post from According to Nina!
Now why did I say "Look what I found in email..."? For the blogs that I read regularly that allow it, I subscribe via email. Today, I had this update from Nina in my email. I get to read the entire post right there in email without going to her blog if I don't have time.
Blogfriends, you can do this easily with Feedburner. And according to Feedburner, it is now part of Google! If you look in my left sidebar, you will notice you can subscribe to my blog by email. When I post an update, it sends out an email to all my email subscribers. You can actually read the post right there in email without going to the blog itself. No blogroll, nothing. You get the images and everything.
I am so delighted when I see a blog offer this option. I don't have time to add all my favorites to my sidebar because I have too many. I really dislike going to each blog just to see if it has been updated. And to be honest, I don't like blogrolls... too difficult to keep up. I find myself just putting the blog's icons all over my desktop.
So if you have a blog, please consider adding email subscriptions to your blog. Once you set it up, there is nothing for you to do. And in the setup, you decide when and how often your emails go out.

Have you tried Google Reader? I love it. You just put the blog address that you want to read into "add subscription" and it automatically posts when blogs are updated. It is also nice because there is a "star" feature so if you want to go back to certain blog posts and read them again, they are easy to find! :)

It's true, blogrolls are difficult but you have been one of my favs for a long time--and when I need a good NC fix--I come over here--read you--and then visit a few of the folks on your blogroll. It's like chatting on the porch.
