Look what I found in email...

You have to read this post from According to Nina!
Now why did I say "Look what I found in email..."? For the blogs that I read regularly that allow it, I subscribe via email. Today, I had this update from Nina in my email. I get to read the entire post right there in email without going to her blog if I don't have time.
Blogfriends, you can do this easily with Feedburner. And according to Feedburner, it is now part of Google! If you look in my left sidebar, you will notice you can subscribe to my blog by email. When I post an update, it sends out an email to all my email subscribers. You can actually read the post right there in email without going to the blog itself. No blogroll, nothing. You get the images and everything.
I am so delighted when I see a blog offer this option. I don't have time to add all my favorites to my sidebar because I have too many. I really dislike going to each blog just to see if it has been updated. And to be honest, I don't like blogrolls... too difficult to keep up. I find myself just putting the blog's icons all over my desktop.
So if you have a blog, please consider adding email subscriptions to your blog. Once you set it up, there is nothing for you to do. And in the setup, you decide when and how often your emails go out.

New Year's Resolutions

New Year's resolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "A New Year's resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect from New Year's Day. Some examples include resolutions to donate to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become more environmentally responsible."

But do people actually keep their resolutions? According to many tweets I have received yesterday and today, many have already broken at least one of their resolutions. I personally don't like "resolutions", I prefer the term "Goals" for the New Year. If I don't meet a goal, I am disappointed but don't feel as if I have failed by not keeping a resolution.

Did you make resolutions or did you make goals? And if you made resolutions, have you broken any already?

New Year's Eve

Last night, the husband and I went to the Duke vs. Penn men's basketball game. The husband gave me the tickets for a surprise Christmas present. In our presence was Denzel Washington!!

(pic taken on camera phone off ESPN2 by my mother during the game)

His son plays for Penn...pretty smart kid...and although pretty small for a bball player and only a freshman, I was quite impressed. Great ball handler and runs the plays pretty good. Unfortunately for him and his team, my Devils whooped up for a New Year's eve bashing! Pretty cool...DW was in our little city for New Year's Eve. After the game, we, and many others who had attended the game, made our way to the local Outback. The food itself was pretty good but the overall dining experience was not desirable at all. Home before all the drunks hit the road in all the horrific fog we had. Unfortunately, both the husband and I fell asleep before the ball dropped.
