July 4th

The 4th of July....time to honor America and I believe all of the Americans past and present who have made this country the home of the free and the brave. AND that includes our military. So a big salute to all of you that serve or have served....THANK YOU! For the 4th we went to see Team USA play Team Japan in baseball. It was Opening night for Team USA and in honor of the 4th, team USA's uniforms were camoflauge shirts with the Team USA logo.

From the Durham Bulls website: "Independence Day at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park was one for the record books, as USA Baseball opened their 2007 season with a 7-2 win over Japan in front of their first sellout crowd at the DBAP. If you weren't one of the 10,063 people at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on July 4th, check out the game highlights and slideshow in the Flash Box on the Durhambulls.com homepage.

The fireworks were spectacular as music centered on the USA and America was played in the background. All in all....a great night. This was of course prefaced with grilled hamburgers and hotdogs!!
