As the July 4th week holiday starts coming to a close, I want to wish everyone safe travels back to your home or whatever your destination.
In NC alone, there were 20 fatalities and 1,355 injuries on North Carolina roads during the July Fourth holiday last year, state Department of Transportation statistics show. There were 15 deaths and 1,177 injuries in the same period in 2005.
