T is for Tuesday, but also for Torres

My new hero, Dana Torres

Yes, another swimmer from the Olympics has me mesmerized. Not just by her swimming though, the woman above is 41 years of age!!! This is the perfect post for today because 1 week from today I turn 40, and baby, let me tell you, I don't look nothin' like that! What an inspiration. Have you seen the videos of her training? Have you seen her with her precious baby? Check out this article on her in the NY Times. The woman is amazing.

As I am preparing to hit that next decade of my life, I am taking notice of many things and many people. Dana Torres is one of them. But I have also noticed an influx of blogs dedicated to us over 40's or just older SAHM's. Check out Style for the Stay at Home Mom and one of my favs right now Of A Certain Age. Karen Karlsen, owner of "Of A Certain Age" offers tips that many of us can use, despite your age. (I know I have several much younger girls/ladies/belles reading my blog). Another favorite blog of mine (though I do not know her age, I am guessing) is Pearls to Hide My Neck. There are so many things that these ladies post as well as many that are on my blog roll of my generation and the generation before me post that truly inspire me to become a better person and expand my life and make life better for myself, my husband, my children, and my parents.

Hi Jenn,

Just think of forty as the new 25. I hit the 50 mark a few years ago, it's not so bad.
