“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”
~The late Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931- 2005

I have been looking for the words to describe my feelings, and this man spoke them.
Can we forward this directly to the current administration's email box?
These words are poignant. Thanks for finding and posting.
I don't think the current administration is interested in what we think.
This is too true and thank you for sharing it. Somehow, I don't think anyone in Washington is listenening and it scares me to death.
What's going on now smells of socialism to me, or something very close to it.
I don't think Washington is interested/listening either. Such a shame. Its a great quote by a brilliant man.
How true! The current administration can not comprehend this... or does not want to.
