Thursday Tag

My new blogger friend, Kentucky Girl in Pink & Pearls tagged me with 2 awards that she combined together.
Rules: Thank the person who gave you the award, share 10 things about yourself, and pass along to 10 bloggers who you've recently discovered and then let them know you've passed this on to them!

1.My "baby girl" leaves for college in 5 weeks and 3 days.
2. I'm addicted to Polyvore, if you haven't noticed!

3. I would love to have my own embroidery machine, or learn to use my mother's, and start monogramming my own items.

4. I want to live in Small Town USA, on the coast, where people still sit on the front porch, and neighbors know neighbors, and there are little parades on holidays. (Sounds a lot like my Beaufort)

5. I am a die-hard Duke Blue Devil fan, even in football.

6. I am obsessed with "What Not to Wear", "Say Yes to The Dress", "Girl Meets Gown" and I love watching "Bones", "Hawthorne", and most of all, "Royal Pains".

7. I have a pretty extensive jewelry collection that is stored in my white leather jewelry case, but I wear the same thing almost every day: wedding set, pearl studs, pearl strand.
8. I have Parkinson's Disease and am also bi-polar. Learned this in 2005 and 2006 respectively.

9. I love a good steak or prime rib. I only like chicken that is boneless breasts.

10. I have the most precious fur baby: Little Miss Southern Belle, but is affectionately known as Miss Belle or just Belle.

Love your sweet Belle photo! And I am a pearl girl also...we just returned from a Memorial Service and drove the kids back home via the NC/SC coast....love, love the Old South of the coast....Put on some Carolina Beach music and taught them to dance Carolina Shag style....

My dream home would be Charleston....I have read too much of The House on Tradd Street, I think....

love your blog!

Thank you thank you for the tag. So sweet of you! I want an embroidery machine so badly. I am actually thinking about asking for one for Christmas because I know they are quite expensive.. but with all that I spend on taking my things to get monogrammed at the embroidery shop, it should pay for itself with time!! And I am also the same way with jewelry as you! I am so thankful to have such an expansive collection of jewelry, but I always stick to pearl or diamond studs, pearl necklace, and a watch (I am a sucker for watches). Thank you again for the tag! xoxo

Thank y'all for stopping by.

Leelee, sorry for you loss but glad you were able to travel our coast. I love some Carolina Beach music and the shag! I am trying to talk honey into taking lessons with me. He keeps promising, it just hasn't happened yet. My pearl girl daughter actually won a shag contest during her days in Junior Cotillion. I too would love Charleston, but I believe I will always be a North Carolina girl so I will continue to dream of living in Beaufort NC. I plan to purchase The House on Tradd Street this week to read on my way to Florida next weekend.

Summer Wind, since I have yet to learn how to use the embroidery machine, Miss Brooke's items from college will be going to the embroidery shop this year. Though I didn't mention it, if I am not wearing my pearl studs, I am wearing my diamond ones. I used to wear watches all of the time. I don't like the collection I have now, and plan to start a new collection. The one that I do wear is more dressy and white gold. I wish I still had all my ribbon watches. I am looking for a brown leather watch (Tommy Bahama had a really nice one, but haven't seen it lately)and a black leather one. And I would really like either the Michael Kors white watch or even the Fossil white watch.

Kate, thank you for becoming a follower and your sweet comments. I enjoy reading your blog as well.

I live in a place that is about as close as you can get to the coast and is small town USA, where everyone sits on their front porch and sips whatever makes 'em smile:) Thank you for the award!
